Maggie Siff is an American actress born on June 21, 1974, in The Bronx, New York City. Her parents are of diverse backgrounds, with her father being Jewish from a Russian family and her mother having Irish and Swedish ancestry. Maggie identifies as culturally Jewish.
She graduated from The Bronx High School of Science and Bryn Mawr College, where she earned a degree in English in 1996. Maggie later completed an M.F.A. in acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program.
Before transitioning to television, Maggie worked extensively in regional theater. She received a Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theater in 1998 for her performance in Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts at Lantern Theater Company.
Maggie's television career began in 2004 with guest appearances on shows such as Rescue Me, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Grey's Anatomy, and Law & Order. She gained recognition for her role as Rachel Menken Katz on the AMC drama Mad Men from 2007 to 2008, earning a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Maggie has also appeared in films like Then She Found Me (2007),Push (2009),Funny People (2009),Leaves of Grass (2010),Concussion (2013),and A Woman, A Part (2016). She currently stars in the Showtime series Billions, playing the role of psychiatrist Wendy Rhoades, and has also appeared in One Percent More Humid (2017).
