Her formative years were spent within the esteemed walls of Albertview Primary School, where she laid the groundwork for a robust education, cultivating a strong foundation that would serve as the cornerstone of her future pursuits.

Makgotso's academic journey was marked by a series of significant milestones, as she embarked on a Bachelor of Arts Joint Honours Degree in Theatre Studies, Film, and Television at the esteemed Brunel University. This esteemed institution, renowned for its academic excellence, provided her with a robust foundation in her chosen field, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of theatre, film, and television. Her academic accomplishments did not go unnoticed, as she was subsequently accepted into the National Youth Theatre, a prestigious organization that offers talented young artists the opportunity to refine their craft, hone their skills, and gain valuable experience in the industry.

Makgotso, a driven and ambitious individual, chose to embark on a new chapter in her life by returning to her native South Africa, mere seven months after receiving her diploma. This bold move marked the beginning of her pursuit of a thriving acting career, one that would eventually be defined by an eclectic array of experiences in the entertainment industry.

Throughout her journey, Makgotso has had the opportunity to hone her craft by making guest appearances on some of South Africa's most beloved comedies. One such notable production is the hilarious and heartwarming sitcom "My Perfect Family", which showcases her impressive range and versatility as a performer.

In addition to her work in television, Makgotso has also had the privilege of featuring in the 2015 film "Ayanda", a cinematic masterpiece produced by the talented and accomplished Terry Pheto.
