Recently, Van Peebles wrapped up filming for the highly anticipated production, Mayor of Kingstown, a project produced by Taylor Sheridan and Antoine Fuqua, alongside a talented cast including Jeremy Renner, Kyle Chandler, and Dianne Wiest. Set in Toronto, his second home, where he holds dual citizenship with Canada and the United States due to his Canadian mother, Van Peebles took on the character of Sam, a novice guard in a maximum security prison, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Season two of the critically acclaimed Hulu series, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, further solidifies his range as an actor, as he effortlessly transitioned into the role of Shank, a young and ruthless drug dealer, in the premiere episode, Little Ghetto Boys.
Van Peebles has also made a lasting impact as Mitch in the SAW franchise, particularly in Jigsaw (2016),the biggest horror franchise to date, where fans still mourn his untimely demise.
