Manny Siverio is a renowned New York-based Latino stunt coordinator, stuntman, 2nd unit director, actor, and writer with a remarkable 25-year career in the film industry. Born on April 23, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, Manny was raised in Hatillo/Arecibo, Puerto Rico, before moving back to New York in 1980.
Manny's diverse background in martial arts, which he began training in at the age of 10, plays a significant role in his multifaceted career. He holds a background in Tae Kwon-Do, Boxing, Kick-Boxing, Kali, Grappling, and Wing Chun, which he has used in physical fitness, bouncing, writing, film work, and dancing.
As a martial arts instructor, Manny founded the MCIA School of Fighting in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, in the late 1970s and later relocated it to New York City until the mid-1980s. He is one of the few Latinos to be a member of SAG, DGA, and AFTRA, and has been honored by both SAG and the EEOC for his accomplishments.
Manny's extensive experience in the film industry has led him to work as a stunt coordinator, stuntman, 2nd unit director, and actor in various productions. He has worked with notable actors such as Michael DeLorenzo, Wesley Snipes, Grant Show, Matt Dillon, Robert Townsend, and Michelle Rodriguez, and has been hired to prepare actors for film fight sequences.
In addition to his work in film, Manny is a skilled writer and has written freelance articles for martial art magazines since the age of 18. He has authored two books, "High-Intensity Martial Art Training For The Martial Artist" and "The Complete Guide To Focus Glove Training," and has written several screenplays.
Manny is also a talented dancer, specializing in the New York "On 2" Style of Mambo (Salsa) dancing. He has performed on prestigious stages with artists such as Tito Puente and Celia Cruz and has been a member of the Eddie Torres "Jammers."
