Biography

Manoochehr Vossoogh, whose birth name was Abbas Rezaei Vossogh, was a renowned and accomplished cinema actor during the Pahlavi era in Iran. His acting career began to take shape during his high school years, when he was identified and subsequently recruited to perform in live theater productions for Iranian national television. He eventually became a permanent fixture at Pars Film Studio, where he honed his craft and gained widespread recognition.

In the months leading up to the Iranian Revolution in 1979, Manoochehr traveled to London to perform in a play, but he ultimately returned to his native country, only to find that his acting career was abruptly cut short due to the ban on his work. Undeterred, he secretly relocated to London via the Pakistani border, where he continued to work as an actor, albeit in a more underground capacity.

Manoochehr's personal life was marked by a long-term marriage to Lida Daneshvar. Tragically, his life was cut short on March 8th, 2022, when he succumbed to cancer while residing in London.
