Biography

Marc Bernardin is a multifaceted American creative professional, born on November 29, 1971. Throughout his career, he has worn many hats, including journalist, public speaker, TV and comic book writer, and podcaster.

Bernardin's impressive resume includes stints as film editor for the Los Angeles Times, senior editor for The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly, and staff writer for various television series, including Castle Rock, Treadstone, and Carnival Row. He has also been a supervising producer on Star Trek: Picard.

In addition to his work in television, Bernardin has written for numerous publications, including GQ, Wired, Details, Vulture, Playboy, and Empire. He has also written comic books for Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, and independent publishers.

As a comic book creator, Bernardin is the co-creator of the DC comic book series The Highwaymen, which is currently in development as a major motion picture. He is also the co-host of two popular podcasts: Fatman Beyond with filmmaker Kevin Smith and The Battlestar Galacticast with actress Tricia Helfer.

Bernardin's numerous accolades include an Inkpot Award, which he received in 2018. He has also been an advocate for writers' rights, joining other WGA writers in firing their agents in 2019 as part of the WGA's stand against the ATA and packaging.

In recent years, Bernardin has worked on several high-profile projects, including Masters of the Universe: Revelation on Netflix, The Legend of Vox Machina for Amazon Prime Video, and Eyes of Wakanda for Disney+. He is currently partnering with author Neil Gaiman to adapt Gaiman's novel Anansi Boys into a multi-volume comic series, which will be published by Dark Horse Comics.
