Marc-Gilbert Sauvajon, a renowned French filmmaker, playwright, scriptwriter, and author, was born on September 25, 1909, in Valence, Drôme, and passed away on April 15, 1985, in Montpellier.

Prior to pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, Sauvajon studied law, which led him to a position as chief editor of the daily newspaper Sud-Est. He further expanded his professional horizons by founding the journal Valence-Républicain.

One of his notable works is the play "All in the Family", which was adapted by Victor Wolfson and premiered at the Strand Theatre in London on June 17, 1959. Directed by Norman Marshall, the play featured an impressive cast, including Maxine Audley, Donald Sinden, Andre Morell, Brian Oulton, Peggy Thorpe-Bates, Michael Logan, Vanda Godsell, Pauline Knight, Virginia Maskell, Mary Powell, Douglas Malcom, and Philip Ashley.

The play's design was handled by Paul Mayo, and it received its first performance on June 17, 1959.
