Marco Costa's professional journey began at the tender age of 22, when he embarked on his formal training in drama, completing his initial course at InImpetus in Portugal. He then proceeded to further his education at Universidade Moderna, where he spent an additional year honing his craft. This was followed by a successful audition for the role of Jocain Amanhecer, marking his debut in television.
From that point on, Costa continued to work extensively in television, film, theater, and voice-overs in Portugal, culminating in the completion of his diploma from Universidade Moderna in 2004. His impressive television credits include John in Morangos com Açúcar, Carlos in Aqui Não Há Quem Viva, and Bruno in Jura, as well as notable stage performances as Bernardo in Pijama Para Seis, Afonso in 1755 - O Grande Terramoto, and Peregrino in Amor de Longe, alongside some of the most esteemed and acclaimed actors in the country.
In 2008, Costa made the bold decision to relocate to London, where he pursued a three-year B.A. course in Drama at Italia Conti. During his time in London, he took to the stage as Ezekiel Cheever in The Crucible, Bill in Hotel Baltimore, and Mario Batone in They Shoot Horses. Upon graduation from Italia Conti, Costa returned to Portugal, where he starred in the long-running play Hamlet da Silva at Teatro Estudio Mario Viegas in 2012.
Most recently, Costa ventured to Dublin to complete filming on the international feature film Collider, directed by Jason Butler, which is slated for release in October 2013.
