Marcus Shirock was born in the suburbs of Washington D.C. at Alexandria Hospital, and his father, an Irish Strongman, frequently appeared on the covers of fitness magazines in the 1960s.
Marcus's grandfather, Chief Turkey Tayac, was the last chief born in the 19th century to die in the 20th century. Chief Turkey Tayac was a member of the Piscataway Indians, and his burial grounds are located in Piscataway, Maryland, across the Potomac River from George Washington's home in Mt. Vernon, Virginia.
Marcus has a brother and sister, as well as several uncles and cousins, and they are the last remaining members of their tribe.
Shirock graduated from Annandale High School in 1994, where he won four football championships, including the State Title, and three power lifting championships, including the Northern Region Title his senior year.
After graduating, Shirock left his family and friends behind on the 4th of July to join the United States Marine Corps. He finished his boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina, and then went on to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, for artillery training.
After honorably leaving the Marines, Shirock moved to Hollywood, California, where he began his acting career. He was discovered by a director while performing a martial arts demonstration on Sunset Boulevard, and has been pursuing his acting career ever since.
Shirock has appeared on several television shows, including 'Angel' and 'Charmed', and has worked on several major films. In 1999, he was cast as the prototype for the Superhero Spider-Man, which was released in 2002.
In 2005, Shirock had a co-starring role in an original ensemble cast with Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight, in the film _The Legend of Simon Conjurer_, which is due to premiere in March 2006.
Marcus Shirock is an All-American who believes that anything can be accomplished with hard work and perseverance. He does not use drugs, alcohol, or smoke.
