Maria Kallimani was born in the charming city of Aigio, Greece, and went on to receive her education from Athens University, where she majestically earned degrees in Archaeology and History of Art, as well as from the renowned "Empros" Theatre Drama School, graduating in 1996. A polyglot, Maria is fluent in English and French, allowing her to seamlessly navigate artistic collaborations across linguistic and cultural boundaries. Her impressive career has seen her work alongside esteemed directors on the free stage, at the National Theater, and at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival. Her extensive filmography boasts a wide range of critically acclaimed titles, including Homeland, Knifer, The eternal return of Antonis Paraskevas, at home, Interruption, Suntan, South, The surface of things, The waiter, Fugue, Memoir of a veering storm, 11:20, Ekei pou zoume, Brando with a glass eye, and Meat.
