Mariana Klaveno, an American actress, was born on October 25th, and is best recognized for her pivotal role as Lorena in HBO's hit series True Blood. In addition to her work on the popular television show, Klaveno has also appeared in a number of film and television projects, including the feature film While the Children Sleep, released as The Sitter on DVD, in which she played the role of Abby Read in 2007.
Klaveno has also made guest appearances on several television shows, including Standoff, ER, and others. Her breakout role as Lorena in True Blood earned her a starring credit in the second half of season two and into season three. The show's ensemble cast, including Klaveno, was nominated for the "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series" at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild awards in January 2010.
Born and raised on her family's farm in Endicott, Washington, Klaveno grew up alongside her three older siblings. After graduating valedictorian of her high school class, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she trained with renowned director Jon Jory. Following her graduation with honors, Klaveno moved to Los Angeles and continued her training with esteemed acting coach Cameron Thor.
Klaveno's early career was marked by a chance meeting with acclaimed producer and director J.J. Abrams, who cast her in her network television debut on the hit series Alias.
