Biography

Mark Jones, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, embarked on his educational journey at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. Following his graduation, he kick-started his professional career by washing dishes in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. Subsequently, he returned to his hometown of Memphis, where he began working in television stations and went on to write his first film, "Eli Parker Is Getting Married?", which was later adapted into a movie in the late 2000.

Mark and his partner resided in New York for a couple of years before returning to Memphis in 2005. During this time, he created the film "Fraternity Massacre at Hell Island" in November and December of the same year.

Throughout his career, Mark has been actively involved in the Outflix Film Festival, celebrating its 21st anniversary in 2018. He has served as the director of the festival on three occasions: 1998, 2008, and 2017. Currently, he serves on the board of the Indie Memphis Film Festival, which takes place annually in November.

From 2016 to 2017, Mark penned and directed six short films. In his personal life, Mark has been in a long-term relationship with his partner for over 16 years, and they reside in Memphis.
