Marnix van den Broeke, a multifaceted individual with a rich background in both dance and acting. Prior to his acting career, he was a professional dancer, having graduated from the Fontys Dance Academy Tilburg in The Netherlands after four years of education in Musical Theater and an internship with The Dutch National Ballet in 1999.
Following his graduation, he remained with the Ballet for an additional year before deciding to take his talents to new heights, literally, by working on a cruise ship. This experience allowed him to combine his passion for travel with his skills as an actor and singer.
The following year, he landed a main role as "The Snowman" in the Dutch version of the West-End stage show, which he later reprised in the West-End show in London and Tokyo. His extensive experience in Musical Theater and Dance Theater has included performances in productions such as Saturday Night Fever and Crazy for You.
However, his career took a dramatic turn when he was cast as "Werewolf" in the blockbuster movie "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". His exceptional movement skills led to more challenging and intriguing acting roles, including the unsettling character "The Silence" in Doctor Who and "DEATH" in Terry Pratchett's "Hogfather" and "The Colour of Magic".
Marnix's roles often require a high level of physical demand, as well as the use of prosthetics or elaborate costumes, as seen in the thriller movie "The Death of Ian Stone". Nevertheless, he thoroughly enjoys every aspect of his craft, particularly when he can delve deep into the personality of a character, as he did with the charming "Mr Pump" in Going Postal and "The Shadow" in "Inkheart".
Looking back on his accomplishments, Marnix believes he has only just begun his journey and is eager to take on many more fascinating characters. He is grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside numerous talented and renowned actors.
Above all, Marnix is a humble, blessed, and content individual, grateful for the experiences he has had and the opportunities that lie ahead.
