Marquita made her television debut starring in the popular NBC teen sitcom, USA High, in 1997. She went on to complete nearly 100 episodes before being added to the cast of Malibu, CA in 1998, which was in its final season at the time.
Throughout her career, Marquita has made numerous guest appearances on a range of successful television shows, including The Shield in 2002, Becker in 1998, Spin City in 1996, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1990. She has also taken on a recurring role as Attorney Iris McNeill on the long-running ABC daytime drama, General Hospital, which premiered in 1972.
In addition to her work in television, Marquita has also appeared in film, taking on the lead role in the independent, award-winning feature Lost in Plainview in 2005, written and directed by Eric Chambers.
In recent years, Marquita has turned her focus to creating original content, and her first project was the female-driven, comedic web series "Work In Progress," which she created, produced, wrote, and starred in.
Today, Marquita is happily married and a proud mother of two beautiful children, living in Los Angeles, California.
