Martin's educational and professional journey began with his graduation from an industrial school, marking the starting point of his career. He then spent a significant three-year period honing his skills as a sound engineer at the Czech Television, where he likely developed a strong foundation in audio production and broadcasting. Following his tenure at ČT, Martin decided to expand his artistic horizons by enrolling in the prestigious Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU),where he pursued a degree in puppetry and alternative theater.
Martin's professional journey commenced immediately after completing his education, as he landed a position at the renowned Klicpera Theater in Hradec Králové. It was during this tenure that he caught the attention of the esteemed Vladimir Moravek, who subsequently offered him a significant supporting role in the romantic comedy NUDA V BRNĚ, a film that premiered in 2003. In this cinematic endeavour, Martin brought to life the character of a somewhat intellectually challenged older brother, alongside a talented ensemble cast that included the likes of Miroslav Donutil, Arnost Goldflam, Pavel Liska, and Richard Krajco.
Jiri Vejdlek made the executive decision to cast Martin in the pivotal role of a socially awkward outsider in the summer comedy film ÚČASTNÍCI ZÁJEZDU, which was released in the year 2006. This marked a significant collaboration between Martin and Pavel Liska, with whom he had previously worked. The film also boasted an impressive ensemble cast, featuring the talents of Anna Polivkova, Eva Holubova, Bohumil Klepal, Kvetoslava Fialova, Jaromir Nosek, Jitka Kocurova, and Jana Stepankova.
