Biography

Brian Lee Garner, also known as Cham Pain, is an American professional wrestler with a storied career spanning multiple promotions. He initially made a name for himself in the independent wrestling scene in North Carolina, competing in various promotions such as Southern Championship Wrestling, New Dimension Wrestling, and OMEGA.

Garner's earliest notable stint was with World Wrestling Federation (WWF),now known as WWE, from 1995 to 1997. During this period, he made numerous appearances as an enhancement talent, facing off against notable wrestlers like Jeff Jarrett, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Jerry Lawler, Jim Neidhart, Yoshihiro Tajiri, and Marc Mero.

One particularly infamous incident occurred on May 28, 1996, during the taping of WWF Superstars. Garner faced off against Hunter Hearst Helmsley, also known as Triple H, and attempted to take on his finisher, the Pedigree. However, Garner, who had not executed the move before, misinterpreted its execution and attempted to flip out of it, resulting in a violent and botched version of the move. Garner suffered neck damage and the incident was captured on video, circulating throughout the Internet.

Despite the botched move, it was still broadcast on WWF Superstars and featured as the WWF's Slam of the Week. Garner's appearance on the show led to him being invited on several daytime talk shows, including Sally Jessy Raphael, Jenny Jones, and Montel Williams, where he discussed the incident and showcased a clip of his match against Helmsley.

Garner's next notable stint was with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) from 1999 to 2000. During this period, he adopted the ring name Ragin' Cajun and managed Rod Price, before later changing his name to Puck Dupp and becoming a member of the Dupp Family, a hillbilly gimmick.

Garner made a brief return to WWE in 2006, competing in a tag team match on SmackDown! and facing Montel Vontavious Porter at the No Mercy pay-per-view. He appeared at a Raw house show in 2007 against Vladmir Kozlov and faced Kozlov again on the April 25, 2008 airing of SmackDown!.
