Mary Millington, a talented individual with a unique path, initially pursued a career as a veterinary nurse, but a serendipitous encounter with renowned London photographer John Lindsay drastically altered the trajectory of her life. Under Lindsay's guidance, Mary began posing nude for numerous photospreads in British glamour magazines, gradually transitioning into illegally produced hardcore pornography films.
In 1974, Mary crossed paths with David Sullivan, a rising publisher and film producer, and shortly thereafter, she became the most recognizable nude model in the UK. Sullivan aggressively promoted her through his magazines and featured her in his 1977 movie, Come Play with Me. The film enjoyed a remarkable 201-week run at a London cinema, shattering box office records throughout the country. The film's success was followed by additional movie releases, with Come Play with Me remaining the longest-running film in British cinematic history.
Unfortunately, as Mary's fame grew, so did her dependence on drugs. Pursued by the police and increasingly paranoid about her appearance, Mary tragically took her own life on August 19th, 1979.
