Mary's journey began in Washington, D.C., where she was born, and it was there that she was blessed with an older brother and two younger sisters, a sibling setup that would shape her life in countless ways.
As she entered the fourth grade, Mary's family made the bold decision to relocate to Asheville, North Carolina, a city that would soon capture her heart with its majestic mountains and the great outdoors, a love affair that would only continue to blossom as the years went by.
Mary's high school was fortunate to have a theatre director who was truly passionate about their craft, and this individual's enthusiasm was contagious, inspiring Mary's entire family to participate in the summer musical productions, where they could act, dance, and sing their hearts out.
This experience had a profound impact on Mary, and she was soon hooked on the world of theatre, a love that would only continue to grow stronger with each passing day.
Mary's pursuit of a career in the performing arts was not without its challenges, however, as she spent many years trying out different training programs before finally settling into the prestigious Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she would go on to earn her Master of Fine Arts degree.
The three years that Mary spent training under the guidance of Bill Esper and Maggie Flanigan at Mason Gross School of the Arts were truly transformative, and they would change her life in ways that she could hardly have imagined.
