Just three short months later, Mason's remarkable talent was once again showcased as he won the coveted title role in the highly successful comedy, Dennis the Menace (1993). This exceptional opportunity arose from a nationwide casting call launched by the visionary John Hughes and Warner Bros., which attracted an astonishing twenty thousand hopefuls. Mason's early and esteemed collaboration with the late, great Walter Matthau was a rare and special experience.
Subsequently, Mason took on starring roles in several notable films. One such project was the Flatland Pictures production, Just in Time (1996),directed by the accomplished Tom Rice. He also appeared in Morgan Creek's Bad Moon (1996),a thriller directed by Eric Red, alongside the talented Mariel Hemingway. Mason's extensive film credits include a memorable experience working alongside the incomparable Leslie Nielsen in Disney's side-splitting Spy Hard (1996),directed by the skilled Rick Friedberg.
