Matt Busch is a multifaceted artist, director, and musician who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. Born in the early 1990s, Busch began his career in Hollywood, working on various aspects of the movie business, including films like The Matrix and Con-Air.
Simultaneously, he started illustrating books, magazines, posters, comics, trading cards, and toys for notable pop culture properties such as Lord of the Rings, The Crow, G.I. Joe, Night of the Living Dead, The Hulk, Battlestar Galactica, Robocop, The Mummy, and Star Trek.
Busch is perhaps most renowned for his work within the Star Wars universe, having written and illustrated numerous Star Wars books and magazines. He created the cover of Tales from the Empire, which became a New York Times Bestseller. Additionally, he was involved in creating artwork for advertising, marketing, and licensed products for all three Star Wars prequels.
Busch has also contributed to the critically acclaimed You Can Draw Star Wars book from DK Publishing, providing nearly 400 drawings and paintings. In his personal life, Busch resides in a multiple-studio house in Macomb Township, Michigan, with his wife, artist and actress Lin Zy, and their dog Roxie, as well as a family of Japanese Koi. Both Busch and his wife are professors at Macomb College by day and adventure-seeking artists at night.
