Matthew, a dual Canadian-American citizen by birth, embarked on a journey to pursue a career in acting, departing from his childhood home with an impressive third-degree Black belt and an extensive knowledge of comic books.
Matthew's academic pursuits led him to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film & Drama from Syracuse University, after which he relocated to New York City to hone his skills on stage. During his time in the city, he had the opportunity to perform in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays, refining his craft and building a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
Undeterred by the challenges of finding consistent work, Matthew made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, driven by his passion for film and determination to succeed. Rather than waiting for roles to be handed to him, Matthew chose to take matters into his own hands, teaching himself advanced visual effects techniques and ultimately founding his own production company, Forewarned Films.
