Matt Crabtree's early life in McLeansville, North Carolina, was marked by his introverted nature as a shy, quiet, and stuttering child. However, this reserved demeanor belied a hidden talent for entertaining others through his impressive impersonations. As he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology, his passion for the spotlight never wavered.
A serendipitous audition opportunity led Matt to leave his academic pursuits behind and embark on a national tour of She Loves Me. This experience was followed by a stint in the European production of West Side Story. After touring, Matt chose to hone his craft at the esteemed School at Steppenwolf in Chicago before relocating to Los Angeles and eventually returning to the East Coast to create roles in numerous plays.
When not performing on stage, Matt has appeared in a variety of television shows, including THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL on Amazon, BRASS TACTICS on Apple+, HARLEM on Amazon, THE BLACKLIST on NBC, THE LOUDEST VOICE on Showtime, N.C.I.S. on CBS, BONES on FOX, and a memorable recurring role on NBC's WILL & GRACE.
Today, Matt resides in New York City, where he continues to defy expectations and adapt to new challenges, much like his chance audition all those years ago.
