Biography

Matt Steinauer's journey began in the sun-kissed city of San Diego, where he pursued his higher education at the University of California, San Diego.

In his early years, Steinauer discovered a passion for storytelling through visual means, often crafting complex narratives that unfolded at a rapid pace, with 24 images flashing by in the span of a single second. This unique skill was initially honed as a form of community service, aimed at shedding light on instances of untold malfeasance.

However, Steinauer's creative endeavors were not without their challenges. He struggled with narrative dissonance, a phenomenon that can occur when the intended message or tone of a story is at odds with its execution. Additionally, his work often incorporated elements of psychotropic cinema, a style characterized by its use of unconventional visual and auditory techniques to create a dreamlike or unsettling atmosphere.

Despite these obstacles, Steinauer remains committed to using his talents to make a positive impact on the world. He continues to work tirelessly behind the scenes, often found lurking behind cameras, flipping switches and adjusting settings with a seemingly random cadence.
