Biography:
From 1958 to 1997, he held the esteemed position of editor and publisher of the Beverage Bulletin, a prestigious wine and beverage publication in Southern California.
Active member of the Los Angeles Police Department Reserve Corps since 1983, he initially served at the Pacific Division and later transferred to the Olympic Station.
As a dedicated volunteer, he took on various roles, including being a founding member and significant contributor to the LAPD Reserve Speaker's Bureau.
Notably, over the past 15 years, he utilized his exceptional skills in identifying wanted persons through computer checks, physical oddities, fingerprints, aliases, and other forms of references, successfully identifying more than 3,500 in-custody arrestees who were incarcerated for other crimes.
His outstanding work earned him recognition from the California Reserve Peace Officers Association, the Los Angeles Police Department's Reserve Officer of the Year for 2007, and numerous honors from the Los Angeles Police Department, the City of Los Angeles, the Attorney General's Office, the community at large, and even the President of the United States, William Jefferson Clinton.
He received significant press coverage for his accomplishments, including a special on the Today TV Show, and numerous commendations.
Prior to his law enforcement career, he served during World War II in the Coast Guard and remained a proud and active member of the American Legion Hollywood Post No. 43.
Additionally, he was a member of the Screen Actor's Guild.
