Person Biography:
Meegan was born into a family of character actors, the third son of Wright King. His early life was marked by a fascination with the film industry, which began when he was just six years old and appeared in a small role on the popular TV show Gunsmoke.
Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Meegan attended Cal State Northridge's Teenage Drama Workshop and Cleveland High School in Reseda, where he shared the stage with a talented group of young actors, including Charles Martin Smith, Don Stark, Morgan Brittany, Patricia Mattick, Wendy Jo Sperber, and Mare Winningham.
After high school, Meegan began studying acting with Jeff Corey and soon landed his first agent. He went on to appear in a production of West Side Story, alongside a talented cast of up-and-coming actors, including Kario Salem, Kevin Spacey, and Stephanie Kramer.
Meegan's early career was marked by a string of guest appearances on TV shows, B-movies, and over 30 commercials. He also landed a recurring role on the popular soap opera Days of Our Lives, earning a Youth in Film award for his performance.
However, his career was put on hold when Meegan was involved in a major car accident. The recovery process took several years, during which time he learned the ins and outs of production and the art department behind the scenes.
After recovering, Meegan began acting in 99-seat waiver productions, Off-Broadway shows, and regional theater. He spent time studying with some of the most renowned acting coaches in the industry, including Stella Adler, Sandford Meisner, Herbert Berghof, and Uta Hagen.
In addition to his acting work, Meegan has also written and performed in several solo actor shows, including Living Another Life and Living in Dreamland. The latter, a critically acclaimed show about characters on the fringes of Hollywood, has been adapted into the web series "Midboomer Chronicles."
