Malese Jow, a talented actress, songstress, and entertainer hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has made a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry. Her acting career began in 1999 with a series of McDonald's commercials, where she showcased her singing talent and landed several spots and jingles. This early exposure led to her participation in Ed McMahon's "Next Big Star" in 2002, where she won four rounds in the kids' vocalist category at the tender age of 11.
Taking a break from music, Malese shifted her focus to acting and landed the starring role of "Geena Fabiano" alongside Emma Roberts in Nickelodeon's hit show "Unfabulous" in 2003. The show aired worldwide on Nickelodeon for three seasons, establishing Malese as a teen fan favorite. She continued to build her fan base by guest-starring on popular shows such as Disney's "Hannah Montana" and "Wizards of Waverly Place", Nickelodeon's "iCarly", CBS's "The Young and the Restless", and Lionsgate's feature film adaptation of "Bratz-the Movie".
Malese has since transitioned seamlessly from a successful teen star to a mature actress, taking on more serious roles. One of her notable performances was as the major recurring character "Anna" on season 1 of CW's "Vampire Diaries". Although her character was initially killed off, she made a shocking return in the season 2 finale, leaving fans eagerly anticipating season 3 to see what happens to her beloved character. She has also guest-starred on TNT's "Leverage" and ABC's "Desperate Housewives" in 2011.
On the big screen, Malese played the supporting lead "Alice" in the Academy Award-nominated feature "The Social Network", written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher. Her upcoming projects include her second series regular role as the bad girl "Cadence Nash" in Nickelodeon's "The Troop" and recurring appearances on their hit show "Big Time Rush" as the edgy, rocker girl "Lucy Stone" for the second season, set to air in mid to late 2011.
