Melisa Zakeri was born on September 13, 1992, in the vibrant city of Tehran, Iran. Her academic journey began at the prestigious Sooreh Art School, where she earned her high school diploma in Theater (Acting). This marked the starting point of her illustrious career as an actress.
Zakeri's professional journey commenced with a visit to the Acting Department of the renowned Karnameh Institute of Art and Culture in Tehran. Her talent and dedication soon caught the attention of director Hatef Alimardani, who offered her a role in his feature film, Dying in September (2014). This cinematic debut saw her sharing the screen with the talented Hamid Farrokhnezhad, and marked the beginning of a long-standing collaboration with Alimardani, who would go on to direct two more feature films featuring Zakeri: The Nameless Alley (2015) and Abba Jaan (2017).
In addition to her work with Alimardani, Zakeri has had the opportunity to collaborate with other esteemed directors, including Amir Hossein Saghafi, with whom she acted in the supporting role of The Man Who Became a Horse (2015). Her other notable works include Mothering (2017),Zohre (2018),and Bubble (2018),all directed by Roqiye Tavakoli, Siamak Ebrahimi, and Ronak Taher, respectively.
Most recently, Zakeri has concluded her role as Forouzan in the TV series Salhaye Door Az Khane (2019). Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated her versatility and range as an actress, impressing audiences and critics alike with her nuanced performances.
