Melody Chase, a talented individual, grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and its surrounding areas. As a child, she demonstrated a natural inclination towards performing in front of an audience, regardless of its size. Her first acting role was as Tweedle Dee in "Alice in Wonderland" during her elementary school days. Although she initially desired the role of Alice, her teacher recognized her comedic talents and encouraged her to explore this aspect of her personality.
Throughout her high school years, Melody continued to take on various roles in plays, with some of her most notable performances being Rizzo in "Grease" and Mommy in Edward Albee's "The Sandbox", which earned her a UIL competition award. This marked the beginning of her journey in the world of acting.
Years later, Melody's determination and charisma led her to walk into a renowned agency in Austin, Texas, unannounced. Her unique blend of tenacity, charm, and personality impressed the agency, and she was signed on the spot.
Melody Chase is a versatile actress who has taken on a wide range of roles in various mediums, including commercials, short and independent films, television, and feature films. Her filmography boasts a diverse array of characters, from the faithful wife and mother in "The Association", "Oil Storm", "Beneath the Darkness", and "A Scanner Darkly" to the unfaithful and manipulative Queen Wendy in "Disenchanted".
Her work in "Oil Storm", which aired on FX in June 2005, had an unexpected and profound impact on her life. The intense correlation between the film's storyline and the real-life events surrounding Hurricane Katrina, which occurred just weeks later, left her feeling uneasy and compelled to take action. Since then, Melody has spoken publicly on behalf of the film, collaborating with ASPO-USA (Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas) to raise awareness about the issues surrounding Peak Oil.
