Mercedes McNab's acting career has been a long and illustrious one, spanning over three decades. Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, she made the move to Los Angeles with her parents at the tender age of nine, driven by a passion to become an actress. This decision was quickly rewarded, as she soon landed an agent and began to secure roles.
Her breakout performance came at the age of ten, when she played the role of the young Girl Scout in the hit film The Addams Family (1991). This early success was quickly followed by a similar role in the sequel, Addams Family Values (1993),further cementing her status as a rising star.
However, it is her iconic role as Harmony Kendall on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) that she is perhaps most famous for. Her portrayal of the dimwitted but lovable Harmony earned her a recurring role on the show for four years, and she later reprised the role in a guest spot on the spinoff series Angel (1999) in 2001. She went on to become a regular cast member for the show's final season, from 2003-2004.
In addition to her work on Buffy and Angel, McNab has appeared in a number of other television shows and films. These include the unaired Fox television pilot for Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997),as well as appearances in Harry and the Hendersons (1991),Touched by an Angel (1994),and Walker, Texas Ranger (1993).
