Mia Tate's remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began in her hometown of Utah, where she initially pursued a career as a professional dancer. Her talents soon took her to Los Angeles, where she secured a dance scholarship in 1995 and subsequently started her acting training.
Throughout her 15-year-long acting career, Mia has had the privilege of studying with some of the most esteemed instructors in the industry. Her training includes stints at Larry Moss's studio, Beverly Hills Playhouse, and Uta Hagen in New York, among others.
Mia's impressive resume boasts a wide range of roles in various mediums. She is perhaps most famous for her sultry performance as the siren who seduces George Clooney in the Coen Brothers' critically acclaimed film, 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'.
Her extensive list of credits also includes collaborations with notable actors such as Antonio Banderas in 'Crazy in Alabama', as well as guest appearances on popular television shows like ER and The West Wing. In addition, she has been featured in Maxim Magazine, promoting her role as a siren.
Mia has also made a significant impact in the independent film scene, starring and co-starring in numerous productions. Her recent projects include 'Friend Request', alongside Anthony Michael Hall, and 'Kessler's Lab', directed by Brenda Urquhart, who praised Mia as "fantastic, a joy to work with. Professional and so talented, and it shows in every frame".
Prior to these roles, Mia worked alongside Scott Wolf and Tom Amandes in the physiological drama, 'Imagine'. She has also ventured into production, serving as the producer of her first film, 'Boys at the Bar', starring Bo Hopkins.
Mia's directorial debut was with the feature-length documentary 'Campesino', which celebrates the lives of Cuban tobacco farmers. The film has been well-received at numerous festivals, with over 10 appearances since September 2018. She is currently in pre-production on a docu-series and episodic, and is passionate about directing, producing, and writing as a means of expressing her love for storytelling.
When not working on her various projects, Mia resides in Sun Valley, Idaho, and commutes regularly to Los Angeles.
