Michael Blake Kruse was born on May 19, 1990, in Camp Pendleton, California, a major West Coast base of the United States Marine Corps. He is the son of Melinda Kay (Purvis) and Michael Dean Kruse, both of whom served in the Marines Corps and were honorably discharged shortly after his birth.
He has two younger brothers, Shane Marcus Kruse (born 1992) and Colton Dean Kruse (born 1998),as well as a younger sister, Kiersten Kae Kruse (born 2002).
Michael's interests throughout adolescence primarily lay in sports. From a young age, he participated competitively in baseball, football, wrestling, and track, finding success in all during his career at BCLUW High School of Conrad, Iowa. He went on to play baseball at Central College of Pella, Iowa, where he also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2012. Shortly after graduation, Michael relocated to Los Angeles to further his career in the entertainment industry.
Michael is best known for his contract role on ABC's General Hospital as "Rory Cabrera," a young, by-the-books police officer for the Port Charles Police Department. Other TV credits include guest star work on Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, and Chicago P.D. He has worked on three Lifetime films, The Ugly Christmas Sweater, Christmas Harmony, and Dead In The Water.
Most recently, Michael can be seen in the supporting role as "Henderson" in one of Marvel Studio's latest installments, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, directed by Ryan Coogler.
As a print model and commercial actor, Michael has worked on dozens of campaigns for clients such as Nike, Amazon, Google, Apple, and Coca-Cola.
He is married to Cara Kruse (Skramovsky) and they have one child together. They reside in Los Angeles, CA.
