Michael D. Xavier is a renowned British actor, celebrated globally for his captivating performances in notable television shows such as Outlander, Gentleman Jack, The Blacklist, and Grantchester.
Born in Liverpool, Xavier pursued his passion for acting at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he refined his craft. Subsequently, he has had the privilege of playing leading roles in over twenty West End musicals, earning two Olivier Award nominations for his outstanding portrayals as The Wolf/Cinderella's Prince in "Into the Woods" and Oliver in "Love Story". He also won a Broadway World Award for his remarkable performance as Joe Gillis in "Sunset Boulevard", opposite the illustrious Glenn Close, in both London and on Broadway.
Xavier has had the opportunity to work with esteemed directors, including Trevor Nunn, in the production of Shakespeare's "The War of the Roses", where he brought to life the characters of George of Clarence and Suffolk. Additionally, he has made several recordings for BBC Radio, further showcasing his versatility as a performer.
In film, Xavier has appeared in a range of projects, including the gripping thriller "Never Let Go", Hallmark's "Paris, Wine and Romance", the offbeat comedy "Gnomeland", and even shared the screen with the Muppets in "Muppets: Most Wanted".
Xavier divides his time between New York and London, where he dedicates himself to his work as the director of MX Masterclass, a weekly Musical Theatre and Acting academy for young performers. He is also an ambassador for Action for M.E and Variety Children's Charity, and annually raises money for Children With Cancer U.K through a star-studded concert in London's Covent Garden.
