Michael's journey in the entertainment industry began at George C. Marshall High School in FallsChurch, Virginia, where he initially considered playing second base for the New York Yankees as his top priority. However, after realizing that the Yankees would not be extending an offer, he decided to explore alternative avenues.
Michael's first foray into the world of acting came when he tried out for a play called Bernardine, securing a small role that sparked his passion for the craft. From that moment on, he dedicated himself to his craft, with a few notable highlights throughout his career.
In addition to his acting pursuits, Michael served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in France from 1966 to 1969. This experience not only deepened his faith but also allowed him to develop his proficiency in the French language, which he still speaks fluently.
Michael has been married to Barbi Nixon Flynn, who also has been married prior, and together they have a large family of 13 children and 40 grandchildren as of May 2017.
When he's not busy with his acting projects, Michael can often be found on the racquetball court, a sport he is quite passionate about. He resides in a suburb of Salt Lake City, where he also engages in writing, directing, and producing, further showcasing his multifaceted talents.
