Michael Johnston, a multifaceted individual also recognized by his pseudonyms Michael Baldwin and Michael Badger, embarked on his literary journey on March 17th, 1966, in the picturesque town of Weston, Ontario, Canada.

At a remarkably early age of nine, Michael showcased his burgeoning talent by publishing his inaugural short story, "Gilroy, the Ghost Who Wouldn't Glow", a testament to his innate creativity and precocious writing abilities.

At the tender age of 17, he took his first foray into the realm of radio and advertising, starting out in various locations, including the small town of Langley, followed by stints in Saskatoon and Toronto, before making the bold decision to relocate to the City of Angels, specifically Los Angeles.

As he honed his craft, his exceptional screenplay, "Understanding Virginia", garnered widespread acclaim, while his remarkable ear for dialogue earned him rewriting credits on numerous motion pictures and television shows, solidifying his reputation as a masterful storyteller.
