Michael Morris, 3rd Baron Killanin, MBE, TD, a distinguished Irish individual, wore multiple hats with ease, exceling as a journalist, author, sports official, and ultimately, the sixth president of the prestigious International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Born into a noble family, he inherited the title of Baron Killanin in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1927, at the tender age of 12, which granted him the privilege of taking his seat in the esteemed House of Lords at the Palace of Westminster upon reaching the age of 21.
