Michael Monsour's childhood on a ranch in Chalk Mountain, Texas, approximately 70 miles southwest of Fort Worth, instilled in him a strong connection to the land and a sense of adventure. As a young boy, he would spend his days riding horses and bailing hay, developing a rugged individualism that would serve him well in his future pursuits.
However, Michael's interests soon expanded beyond the rural landscape. At the age of 12, he discovered his passion for the arts, beginning his journey in equity theater at the Granbury Opera House. This early exposure sparked a love for performing, and he continued to hone his craft by acting in his high school plays.
After completing his college education, Michael relocated to Austin, Texas, where he uncovered his true calling in filmmaking. His work in the industry has been marked by numerous successes, including films that have premiered at esteemed festivals such as SXSW and the Tribeca Film Festival.
