Biography

Michel Maurice Daniel Denisot was born on April 16, 1945, and has since become a prominent figure in the French media landscape. As a journalist, producer, television host, and director of a football club, Denisot has had a diverse and illustrious career.

At the tender age of 15, Denisot began his career as a journalist by working as a correspondent for the local press in Châteauroux. This early start laid the foundation for his future success, and by 1968, he was working on the regional station of the ORTF of Limoges. Over the years, he worked for various stations in Poitiers, Bordeaux, and Reims, honing his skills and building his reputation.

One of Denisot's most notable achievements was his work on the popular gameshow Le Schmilblic, which was produced and presented by the renowned Guy Lux. He joined the show in 1969 and remained a part of it for several years.

In 1972, Denisot made the bold decision to leave Berry and move to Paris, where he integrated the first of ORTF (before TF1). During his time there, he worked under the guidance of Jean Lanzi and Jean-Pierre Elkabbach, fetching coffee and orange juice for them.

Denisot's next move was to the third of ORTF (before FR3 and France 3),where he worked before returning to TF1 in 1975. There, he co-hosted the Journal télévisé de 13 heures with Yves Mourousi and Claude Pierrard for a period of two and a half years.

In 1977, Denisot made a significant career change by integrating the sport division of TF1. He went on to host Téléfoot with Thierry Roland and became a football commentator, a role he would continue to fulfill for many years.

Denisot's contributions to the world of football were recognized in 1998, when he was awarded the Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur for his actions on Paris Saint-Germain F.C. This prestigious honor was a testament to his dedication and passion for the sport.

Today, Denisot is the president of LB Châteauroux, a position he has held since April 2021. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt and thrive in various roles, making him a respected figure in the French media and sports industries.
