Michel Issa Rubio is a multifaceted individual, born in Guadalajara, Mexico to a creative mother, Luz Elena Rubio, who is an artist. He is most notably recognized for his portrayal of "Santiago" in the popular TV series Snowpiercer, alongside acclaimed actress Jennifer Connelly, who won an Oscar for her work. Additionally, he has had the privilege of collaborating with another Oscar-winning actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones, in the Lifetime movie Cocaine Godmother, where he played the role of "Gerry Gomez".
Michel's journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age in Guadalajara, where he started modeling and acting in commercials for various products and brands. At the tender age of 10, he and his family relocated to Vancouver, Canada, which marked the beginning of his successful professional dancing career that spanned over 15 years. Throughout his dancing career, he worked on numerous projects, including Cirque Du Soleil's "Love", the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, and various television shows such as Disney's Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, Degrassi, Once Upon a Time, DC's Legends of Tomorrow & Motherland: Fort Salem, to name a few.
Today, Michel continues to showcase his diverse range of talents and skills in various mediums, including movies, TV shows, commercials, video games, music videos, and live theatre performances, taking on different and challenging roles. His recent projects include appearances on shows such as The Good Doctor, Two Sentence Horror Stories, Superman & Lois, Kung Fu, and Charmed, among others.
