Michelle is a multifaceted artist based in Melbourne, with a diverse range of talents that include singing, writing, acting, and comedy. She has had the opportunity to tour across Australia and New Zealand with various productions, including California Dreaming (JTM) and The Carole King Songbook Tour (JTM). Additionally, she has showcased her vocal abilities on Channel 9's The Today Show and has appeared as Lauren on ABC's Utopia. Michelle is also one of the featured comedy creators and performers for Foxtel and Princess Pictures' new comedy series, The Slot, which airs on The Comedy Channel.
Michelle's work has received widespread acclaim, particularly for her collaborations with Aunty Donna. She played the role of Susan in the Screen Australia production 1999, and also appeared in Aunty Donna The Album. Michelle has also worked with renowned composer Stephen Schwartz on the musical Children of Eden, which was performed at the Melbourne Recital Centre and Magnormos. Furthermore, she is a contributing writer on the ABC Fresh Blood Pilot, Why Are You Like This.
As a writer, Michelle has contributed to various publications, including VICE, SBS Comedy, and whimn.com.au. She has also co-written material with Laura Frew, and their work has been recognized with several award nominations and wins. In 2017 and 2018, they were nominated for the Golden Gibbo award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and ultimately won the Director's Choice award for Double Denim Adventure Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2018. They also took out the Best Newcomer award at the Sydney Comedy Festival in 2018.
Michelle has performed at several major music festivals, including Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival. She has also appeared as herself on various television programs, including National Wrap and ABC Next Gen, and will soon be seen as Gretchen in the upcoming feature film, The Merger. Her comedy show, Double Denim Adventure Show, was praised by the Herald Sun, which described it as "fabulous" and said that anyone who didn't laugh at it might need to check for a pulse.
