Michelle Murdocca is a multifaceted American entertainment professional, encompassing the roles of actress, producer, voice artist, and comedienne. She has been an integral part of Sony Pictures Animation since its inception in May 2002, initially serving as the vice president of production. In this capacity, she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, including crew management.
As her career progressed, Murdocca transitioned into a producer role, spearheading the production of Open Season, the company's first feature film. She also lent her vocal talents to the project. Subsequently, she produced the short film Boog and Elliot's Midnight Bun Run and served as executive producer for Open Season 2.
Prior to joining Sony Pictures Animation, Murdocca held the position of senior visual effects producer at sister company Sony Pictures Imageworks, which she joined in 1998. During her tenure, she worked on the Academy Award-nominated film Stuart Little. She then went on to become the associate producer and senior visual effects producer on the sequel, Stuart Little 2, which received the Visual Effects Society Award for Best Character Animation in an Animated Film.
Murdocca has since become a staple in the Hotel Transylvania franchise, serving as producer on each installment, as well as the spin-off shorts Puppy! and Goodnight, Mr. Foot. For Sony Pictures Animation, she voiced the character Maria in Open Season.
