Michelle Van Der Water, a South African native, was born in CapeTown, but her family relocated to Australia shortly after her birth. They settled in a small town just an hour outside of Sydney, where Michelle spent her formative years. She attended and graduated from Inaburra High School in the Sutherland Shire, a prestigious institution that would lay the foundation for her future academic and professional pursuits.
Michelle's academic journey continued at Wollongong University, where she earned a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Graphic Design and New Media. This degree would serve as a springboard for her creative endeavors, particularly in the fields of modeling and acting. During her time in Sydney, Michelle began modeling while taking acting classes on the side, a decision that would ultimately spark her passion for acting.
As her passion for acting grew, Michelle made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where she could pursue her dreams on a larger scale. Her professional career began in 2000, and she has since appeared in a diverse range of projects, including film shorts and television shows. Notable performances include her role in the horror/fantasy film Minotaur (2006),where she starred alongside Tom Hardy and Tony Todd.
Michelle's extensive resume also includes appearances in the 2009 revival of the series Melrose Place, as well as work on Castle (2009) and NCIS: Los Angeles (2009).
