Mickey O'Sullivan is an accomplished actor known for his outstanding performances in various film and television projects. Born to hardworking Irish parents in New York City, he discovered his love for storytelling at a young age and pursued it with unwavering determination.
After completing high school, Mickey O'Sullivan enrolled in the renowned theater program at Illinois State University, famous for being the soil where some of the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre founding artists like Jeff Perry and John Malkovich trained. He spent 4 years taking almost exclusively courses in the theater program, resulting in 4 years of nonstop acting experience but no formal degree.
During the school year and over the summers in Normal, Illinois, Mickey's approach of saying yes to every opportunity that came his way allowed him to gain incredibly profound experiences working with visiting professionals, teachers, and graduate students alike. He delved into a wide range of projects, from big budget to no budget, including Shakespeare, New Plays, American Classics, abstract works, Puppetry, film, and improv.
His breakthrough in the entertainment industry came when he landed a role only weeks after moving to NYC in a Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright's Bryn Manion's new play, WAKE, which garnered critical acclaim and put him on the radar of industry insiders.
