Person Biography:
Rebecca, better known as Miffy, was born in Hampshire in 1999. Her parents, who initially named her Rebecca, soon nicknamed her Miffy due to her perpetual messy hair that always stuck up. Miffy's early years were marked by a maturity beyond her age, as she had to adapt quickly to her parents' divorce when she was just two years old.
Following the separation, Miffy's father gained custody of her and her two younger siblings, Jaydyn and Ashleigh. Despite being homeless for a brief period, the family eventually found a new home and Miffy began to showcase her natural talent for performing. She would often sing, dance, and act, as well as direct her younger siblings in their family productions.
Miffy's passion for performing led her to attend a local weekend stage school, where she started auditioning for various roles. Her first audition resulted in a successful booking for an ident for a toy manufacturer, which aired on British television. Although it was a small role, it sparked Miffy's interest in working in front of a camera and introduced her to the waiting periods between takes.
Undeterred by the potential monotony of the film industry, Miffy continued to audition for bigger and better roles. She was shortlisted for several projects, including Casualty, but unfortunately, the part went to a boy at the last minute. Miffy also auditioned for another TV drama on ITV, but the role was not hers.
Miffy's breakthrough came when she auditioned for Nancy Meyers' 'Holiday' Project. Hundreds of young girls attended the open audition, and Miffy was fortunate enough to be recalled multiple times. After several months, Miffy received a surprise audition to meet Nancy Meyers directly, and she was one of the final six girls selected. Following good feedback, Miffy eventually landed the role of Sophie in the project, marking the beginning of her professional journey in the film industry.
