Mihaly Szabados, also known as "Mishy", embarked on his acting journey by starring in a Hungarian stage adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's timeless classic, The Brothers Karamazov. This was swiftly followed by a lead role in the TV film, The Boy from Komarom.
As his career flourished, he solidified his position as a rising star in the Hungarian film industry, courtesy of starring roles in We Never Die, a film by renowned director Robert Koltai, and Romani Kris, which won the Montréal First Film Prize at the 1997 Montreal World Film Festival.
Prior to venturing into the Hollywood scene, he acted in the HBO film, Citizen X. During his three-year stint in Los Angeles, he honed his skills at Sal Rome's Artists Studio and Maria Gobetti's Acting Studio of Victory Theater, where he learned directing and new theatrical approaches.
While in Los Angeles, he secured a starring role in the short film, The Guest, and upon his return to Hungary, he co-founded the Sandor Weores Theater in Szombathely, Hungary. There, he established his own theatrical group, Kamikaze Action Theater, where he reimagined classic Hungarian plays such as Mandragora, Dreams of Gellert-Hill, and Woyzeck, infusing them with his unique perspective.
Before rekindling his connection with the North American scene, he acted in the Sci-Fi series, Painkiller Jane, and Tamas Domotor's screen adaptation of Czukor Show. Following a brief stopover in Vancouver, where he starred in The Redemption of Jackson Gaines, Mishy relocated to Toronto, Canada's film and television hub.
Since settling in Toronto, he has appeared in several short films, including Take it to the Go, as well as a role in the upcoming CBC TV show, 24hr Rental. Dedicated to continually improving his craft, Mishy graduated from the esteemed Second City Conservatory. He has since worked on TV shows like Murdoch Mysteries...
