Mikael's life has been a journey of passion and dedication to the performing arts. Born and raised in Sweden, he first took to the stage at the tender age of six in a Christmas show, and from that moment on, acting became an integral part of his life.
As a young boy, Mikael began performing in a youth group at Vår Teater in Stockholm at the age of ten, and by the time he was fourteen, he had made his professional debut on a popular youth TV-show. Despite his growing interest in acting, Mikael also pursued his education, majoring in Science with a focus on fire fighting and rescue in high school.
In his free time, Mikael continued to nurture his passion for acting by actively participating in a fringe theatre group. After completing his high school education, Mikael fulfilled his compulsory military service in Sweden before enrolling in a one-year diploma course in acting at Folkuniversitetet in Stockholm.
The allure of the international stage proved too great, and Mikael made the bold decision to relocate to Santa Monica, California, where he attended Santa Monica College and earned an AA-degree in Theatre Arts. This achievement paved the way for him to be accepted into the esteemed Master program at Guildford School of Acting, where he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of renowned performers such as Sheila Allen, Paul Brennen, and Ian Ricketts.
Mikael's hard work and dedication were rewarded with the Post Graduate Principals Award for his outstanding achievements. After completing his Master's program, Mikael returned to Sweden, where he worked as an actor in various projects, including the international award-winning short film Reyounion in 2012.
However, it soon became apparent that a return to Los Angeles would be the best move for Mikael's career, and in 2012, he made the decision to relocate back to the United States. Two years later, he became a permanent resident.
Upon his return to Los Angeles, Mikael continued his education, graduating from the USC School of Dramatic Arts in 2015. During his time at USC, Mikael had the opportunity to work with and learn from prestigious professionals such as Michael Keenan, John DeMita, Andrew Borba, and Evgeniy Lazarev.
Since graduating, Mikael has been involved in a wide range of projects, including the award-winning short films Under the Pieces in 2017 and Mr. Bowling Ball in 2019, as well as feature films such as Scariest Night of Your Life in 2018, Sunnyfield Kids in 2024, and Chop Chop in 2020.
