At the tender age of nineteen, Mike took the courageous step of enlisting in the United States Navy, a bold move that would set him on a path of adventure and exploration, spanning four foreign tours, during which he would have the privilege of serving on two esteemed Navy vessels, ultimately culminating in his arrival on the storied shores of Vietnam.
After completing his distinguished naval career, Mike embarked on a transformative journey, electing to trade in his uniform for a pursuit of academic excellence. He enrolled at the University of Louisville, where he successfully earned his Bachelor's degree in Communication Mass Media. This impressive milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter in Mike's life, as he transitioned into the realm of Newspaper Circulation Management. There, he spent several years honing his skills and contributing to the industry before ultimately entering a well-deserved semi-retirement.
