Mike Wech was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, as the son of Michael J Wech, a teacher and coach, and Mary Jane Wech. During his college years, he developed a passion for acting and theater, which led him to move to New York to pursue his dreams.
However, Mike's creative talents didn't stop at acting. He believed that learning every aspect of production would make him a more effective leader, so he branched out into multiple areas of production. By experiencing television and film production from various angles, Mike acquired a unique skill set that enabled him to streamline productions for maximum efficiency and budget.
Throughout his career, Mike has accumulated over 200 hours of network programming, along with a growing list of feature films and corporate work. He has been highly sought after to lead the creative and technical aspects of production, and his experience as the showrunner for the TV series Drug Wars and Being Beautiful has allowed him to write, produce, direct, and edit the series.
Mike has consistently looked to the future, innovating in post-production and incorporating new technologies into his projects. His ultimate goal is to create cross-platform, four-quadrant, multi-media franchise properties that utilize cutting-edge technology to tell and market the story.
This vision is being realized in his international, best-selling novel SEVEN-X, which is designed to be one of the most immersive film experiences ever, maximizing the potential of stereoscopic 3D filmmaking. The SEVEN-X franchise will feature accompanying apps, live experiences, and interactive storytelling, delivering something innovative and unique to audiences around the world.
