Miki, a Massachusetts native, pursued a career in musical theatre after studying opera at the esteemed New England Conservatory of Music. Her early performances included playing Tuptim in "The King and I" and Maria in "West Side Story" at prominent regional theaters.
With her talent in high demand, Miki transitioned to guest-starring roles on television, making appearances on iconic shows such as Law & Order, As the World Turns, and One Life to Live. Her comedic chops were further showcased when she began performing as an improv/sketch comic at The Walt Disney World Resort.
As a playwright and performer, Miki created the one-woman comedy "The Geisha Next Door," which humorously explores the parallels between the life of a traditional Japanese geisha and a modern-day Japanese American actress. The piece has been performed Off-off Broadway, for PSNBC, and continues to be booked at colleges and universities across the country.
Miki also created and co-hosted the cult-hit cable talk-show "Lutz Chat with Miki and Peter," a humorous take on the world of competitive figure-skating. Shot on a Sony camcorder and aired on Manhattan Public Access, the show gained attention from The Village Voice, which praised it as "the funniest half-hour on TV."
Miki has also appeared as herself in a comedy pilot for the Oxygen Network and continues to work in film, television, theater, and corporate events, solidifying her status as a seasoned comedic actress with a versatile range of talents.
