Milena Govich is a multifaceted creative force, exceling as a director, actor, and musician. Her impressive television directing credits include episodes of The Equalizer (2021),Chicago Med (2015),FBI: Most Wanted (2020),and Chicago Fire (2012),among others.
As a director, Milena has made a significant impact, having served as Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is also attached to direct two pilots in development, further solidifying her reputation in the industry.
Milena's impressive filmography includes her short film and TV series proof-of-concept, Unspeakable (2018),which had its World Premiere at SXSW and won several awards, including Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has played at numerous festivals across the country, winning several awards, including Best Narrative Short at the Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at the Atlanta ShortsFest, and the Director's Choice Award at the Sedona International Film Festival.
As an actor, Milena has appeared in close to 100 episodes of television, including notable roles in CBS's Love Monkey (2006),Rescue Me (2004),and Conviction (2006). She has also been featured or recurred on numerous other shows, including K-Ville (2007),The Defenders (2010),Make It or Break It (2009),Finding Carter (2014),and Law & Order (1990). Born in Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian of her high school before completing a double major in vocal performance and pre-med, with minors in dance and violin at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she also graduated valedictorian. She capitalized on her classical ballet training to appear on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of 'Cabaret' at Studio 54, where she played the role of Lulu and was the understudy and eventual replacement for the lead role, Sally Bowles.
Milena has also danced on Broadway in the musical revival of 'The Boys From Syracuse' (choreographed by Tony winner Rob Ashford),the Beach Boys musical 'Good Vibrations,' and starred as Millie in the first regional production of 'Thoroughly Modern Millie.' She has also taken on the title role of 'Sweet Charity' at the Lyric Theatre in NYC.
Milena resides in Los Angeles and is actively developing TV/film projects with her husband and producing partner, writer David Cornue.
