Millicent Simmonds, also known as Millie, is a talented American actress from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, born in Bountiful, Utah. She began her acting journey at the age of nine, joining the drama club at her elementary school, where she discovered her passion for acting. Millicent's early experience playing Puck in Midsummer Night's Dream laid the foundation for her future success.
After making her Broadway debut in 2023, starring opposite Laurie Metcalf in Levi Holloway's Grey House, directed by Joe Mantello, Millicent's career has been marked by numerous notable roles. Her breakout performance in Wonderstruck (2017) earned her a BAFTA nomination and recognition as one of the Breakthrough Entertainers of 2017 by AP, with Time Magazine listing her performance as one of the Top 10 Movie Performances of the year.
Millicent's subsequent roles in A Quiet Place (2018) and A Quiet Place Part II (2020) showcased her exceptional acting skills, with her performance in the latter earning her a historic BAFTA Rising Star nomination and the coveted Chainsaw Award.
